The Hotel was established in 1857 as The Wheelwright Arms Hotel
and was renamed the Lewisham Hotel in 1914.
Since then, It's featured as a watering hole for generations of local workers and residents.
For over 25 years the pub has also operated as a rockin' live music venue,
with a host of local and international acts having graced the stage.
It is currently the home of the Sydney Livehouse
which has original bands performing every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights,
as well as regular underage shows on Saturday afternoons.
